June 19th, 2020 by

Just a year after Toyota introduced the GR Supra, the automaker takes this luxury sports car to the next level. The 2021 GR Supra six-cylinder models get a retuned chassis and even more power. There’s now a four-cylinder model in the GR Supra lineup. The automotive enthusiasts at McGrath Elmhurst Toyota are big fans of the GR Supra, and we believe once you see this incredible model, you’ll be a fan, too.

2021 GR SupraThe first 1,500 Mk. V Supras were Launch Editions, and for 2021 Toyota is offering 1,000 new A91 Editions. This model gets a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine and comes in two external paint colors, Nocturnal and Refraction (exclusive to the A91 Edition and a new color for Supra). External features include matte black wheels, a rear black carbon fiber lip spoiler, carbon fiber mirror caps and C-pillar graphics. Inside, buyers are treated to black Alcantara leather with blue trim. The A91 Edition also features a trunk mat and two unique key gloves.

The 2021 Supra 3.0 Premium and A91 Edition get red-painted front Brembo brake calipers, while all models come with the same 8.8-inch audio touchscreen that’s standard on the 2020 3.0 Premium model.

The 2021 GR Supra is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that generates 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This represents a 14% increase from last year’s model, which produces 335 hp and 365 lb-ft. The increased power is the result of several engine upgrades, including a six-port, dual-branch manifold and a reduced engine compression ratio.

According to Toyota, the Supra 3.0 will make the sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and return an estimated 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway.

The 2021 GR Supra models should arrive at Toyota dealers this summer.
