Excellent experience!

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Steve Salidas! He was patient, knowledgeable, and definitely went above and beyond to take care of me while I bought my dream car. After the purchase of the car was complete, he made sure the car was set up for me. Even took his own time to set up my Bluetooth! To top it off, he gave a few key chains and a little stuffed Toyota giraffe to commemorate the moment. Inside the dealership is set up like a small town, very cute and clean. I didn't have to spend much time there because they were very efficient despite it being a Saturday. I was there for 1.5 hours and left with a car! I would definitely recommend Steve and Elmhurst Toyota to a friend.

Just visited them yesterday... Had scheduled appointment... 3 hours waiting... Said me they needed more time, because they got some problems, but HAVE NO IDEA, what is going on with 3 month old car! Said: can't give me loaner car on that time, because it's out of their policy... asked me about carwash... even didn't do that, at the end... I had recall paper, - even didn't do that... THEY WAS DOING NOTHING DURING 3 HOURS WITH MY CAR! Had small defect on my rear bumper plastic (could fix by myself...), but asked them to see this, - they said: let's go to your native dealership, in Romeoville...)))) I live 50 miles away...:)))) I was calling to Toyota customer service, they were really surprised about all of this "Service"... P.S.: I was reading previous review from one lady: she said they are liers... THAT'S TRUE!

Lies, Lies and more Lies

I went to Elmhurst Toyota after my 3 month old car was totaled in an accident. I'd had an 18 year relationship with them and our family had leased 10 cars and outright purchased another. I thought they would be helpful to an extremely long-term customer. I spoke with my salesman, Steven Salidas and Tony Gmitrovic. I wanted another 2019 Camry XLE. Tony told me one did not exist in the red color I wanted. He also told me that they did not have a 2020 and could not get one without ordering it from Toyota. All lies. Eighteen year relationship and I was told lie after lie. Three other dealerships had the 2019 Camry I wanted and every other dealership I spoke with had the red one in a 2020. I went to Continental Toyota and they happily traded a vehicle with another dealership to get me a red 2019 Toyota Camry XLE. Will never be back.

Received a quote from Neda but when I called to tell her I wanted to buy she informed me that the price went up to the tune of $1,900! I called Rob Smithburg, her manager, but he never returned my call. I messaged him along with Tony Gmitrovic and Vlad Rikhman, Director of Sales Operations and New Car Manager respectively, but have not heard back from any of them. This dealership does not come across as trustworthy or concerned about customer service. They lost a sure sale and a customer for life. Would NOT recommend doing business with them. There are plenty of other Toyota dealers in Chicago.

Wonderful Car-Buying Experience

I had the best car-buying experience, ever, with the Elmhurst Toyota team. I've been all over the continental U.S. purchasing new cars and even purchased a new car overseas, but in my 42-year span of purchasing cars this was the best experience ever. Give these folks a phone call or a visit. Wonderful, courteous and helpful people everywhere. If I'm wrong, you still get a nice cup of hot coffee!

Highly recommended dealership. I visited Elmhurst Toyota during April 2012 to shop for a new minivan due to our expanded family. I dealt directly with salesman, Rob Smithburg and owner, Kurt Schiele, and they took great care of me - from the moment I began considering a new vehicle to the day I drove off in the new van. I was never pressured and felt very comfortable in the showroom. Not only are the people at the dealership friendly and professional, the price was unbeatable and the process was simple. I have since brought the van in to have my protection plan completed, and I was also satisfied with the service staff. Finally, I would like to mention that a friend and relative both have done business with Elmhurst Toyota, and were also very pleased with their experience.

I went to Elmhurst Toyota to look for a new car. I first test. Drove a Scion. I went home to think about it. Rob was very helpful in sending me emails about specials that Toyota was having. After a few months and gas prices going up, I went back to test drive a prius. I was able to get a good deal on my trade-in and a great deal on my new car. Todd was very helpful in getting the financial aspect of the deal. I have bought all my cars at Elmhurst Toyota and will continue to do so.

Can you help us? Service: Oh no that’s the way that product was designed, and we get a number of similar complaints on it. It’s working the way it was intended. Sorry. Us: Corporate, can you help us? Corporate: Sorry, Toyota recommends against adding after-market products and our dealers can do whatever they want with absolutely no ramifications. :::Attempt to get a call back from Elmhurst Toyota to get some sort of fair resolution::: Services/Sales: :::Silence::: :::Out of $700::: This is real life business with Elmhurst Toyota and Toyota Corporate. This place is full of scam artists, liars, and full of unbelieveable price gouging. Tony the sales manager Dan the parts director and Brian the service manager literally will price gouge recommend unnecessary work and lie to your face about services or prices. Let me start by saying this store has no general manager although tony misrepresents himself online as the owner and likes to tell people he is the owner he is in fact not the owner... there is no general manager according to them the owner is the general manager and he doesn't get involved in the business... but aren't you the owner tony...what a convenient lie and shady business practice. And if you reach out to Toyota they recommends you talk to the general manager owner, or the customer relations manager... thiers no general manager or customer relations manager and tony is not the owner although he continues to misrepresent himself as the owner... they have refused to service my car under warranty because I told dan I wouldn't be price gouged and when I called him out for inflating price and phony services he has refused to do work on my car or even sell me parts or tires even though I had an appointment for a warranty service they are beyond inconsiderate and have discriminatory business practices they charge people different prices and use labor phony labor cost to increase prices. 140 dollars to change a tail light they tried to rip me off to do work that requires a screwdriver and takes 5 minutes The sales man mario used high pressure tactics trying to keep you there long and also the guy literally was like what do I have to do to make you walk out of here with it today, this financing offer may not last and this is a limited time buy I can get you well off mark up they used every tactic in the book he could muster I though I got a good price but the next day I went to their Toyota Elmhurst. Com and it was 1200 less than what I paid. in fact they care nothing about you as a person and are only concerned with making a sale they didn't care about my budget or if I could afford it they didnt ask what I did or how much i earned they did anything just to make a sale. why do I say this. Because i was unemployed doing uber for two weeks I literally gave them no proof of income no pay stubs and filled out no paperwork for a loan the fiance guy literally made stuff up to be honest I didn't fill out anything I just signed on the line. I could only imagine the lies David told Toyota fiance I even told him I have a stress migraine even gave me aspirin. They didn't care had to make a sale. In all reality that was a high risk loan for me that left me stress sick for weeks I truly intended to just look at a car not take out a 25000 plus loan. What david put told them for proof of income or fiance information I could only imagine the lies. Just wanted to get me outta there with a loan. He did several things wrong which I was not aware of until months later ie maintenance plan was supposeded to included in my haggling I thought... Anyway my issue began with discovering that first bought a RIP off maintenance plan and that the 5 free services were just a scam to keep you coming in Tony even tells people you'll pay more for a maintenance plan which is a lie he just wants to keep you coming in so they can inflate prices. I had a taillight assembly leak water they said it would cost 480 to replace 280 for the part and 140 labor to replace it. Total scam to do this job requires a screwdriver and takes three minutes is the same as changing a taillight bulb and the part Is priced differently on thier website even if they order it they won't give you an honest price it was marked up 4 times their cost. They have ripped me off on several services and lied to my face about pricing and repair cost. Dan and Brian are liars I called another dealership told me how to do the repair myself said I wouldn't feel right charging you for that repair do you have a screwdriver oh and try silicone don't replace the part??!! Visit to the dealership for tire pressure light on

On August 12, 2019, I dropped off my vehicle, a 2019 Toyota Sienna, with Elmhurst Toyota Dealership.  On this newly-purchased Sienna, the tire pressure light on the dashboard was always on.  After carefully checking the tire pressure on all tires, it was clear that there was a malfunction with the sensor.  Elmhurst Toyota Dealership quoted a price of $135, to cover the cost of a computer diagnosis, to which I agreed.  Over the course of three days, with collaborating correspondence, the technicians working at the dealerships were unable to identify the problem.  Over the course of the three days, I received phone calls from the dealership with updates, each concluding that they needed more time to further troubleshoot the issue.  During this period, as I rely on my vehicle for my occupation, I missed my usual revenue and earnings.  On August 14, 2019, I returned to the Elmhurst Toyota Dealership to collect my car.  To my complete surprise, the service representative who had assisted me was supplanted by Daniel Briggs, the Parts & Service Director, who angrily presented me with an invoice for $1,800.  He was absolutely dismissive of my concerns about the enormous sum, and was resentful of my profession, exclaiming, "WHATEVER HE SAID ABOUT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE TAXIS," in a derogatory manner.  I explained that I only agreed to the diagnosis with the stated fee of $135, as is stated and recorded in the invoice.  Director Daniel Briggs lectured that Elmhurst Toyota Dealership had to be compensated for the uncalculated and unstated hours of labor, and that the diagnosis fee of $135 did not apply.  Because Elmhurst Toyota Dealership was unable to correctly run a diagnosis, their Director's decision was to charge me for the arbitrarily calculated labor that wasn't able to detect any issue.  Had it been conveyed to me at any point during the THREE?  FOUR? voice mails and phone conversations that I would be expected to pay for the hours of labor used to discover nothing, I would have removed the vehicle from their facility as soon as they informed me pricing had changed. Parts & Service Director Daniel Briggs disparagingly told me that if I want my vehicle back, I need to pay the invoice in full.  Perhaps feeling guilty for his abstract and randomly calculated hours of labor, he offered a 10% discount. The following day, August 15, 2019, I returned as I had no choice but to pay the invoice so that I could have my car back as it is essential to my career.  The bait-and-switch invoicing along with the condescending and patronizing attitude of Parts & Service Director Daniel Briggs was deeply dissatisfying.

Worth the Drive

We had the opportunity to work with Steven Salidas and he made the entire purchase process seamless. We had done our homework and been in contact with several local dealerships but chose to do business with Elmhurst Toyota because of Steven and Tony Gmitrovic. From the knowledge of the vehicles, to the professional correspondence and follow-up but most importantly their willingness to close the deal by making the numbers work. They set themselves apart from every other dealership that we had explored to purchasing our new vehicle. Its too easy to only site complaints, these guys deserve the kudos!

Buying from Alex Knezevic at Elmhurst Toyota is doing yourself a true justice when in the market for a vehicle. If you are here, I likely do not need to sell you on the brand of Toyota, though I am loving my 4Runner Limited more and more each day. This is the second purchase I have made through Alex, with the first being a used Lexus a few years ago, and to be honest I did not visit any other Toyota dealers - a true testament to the overall buying experience one will have and knowing you will be taken care of. Negotiations both times were painless and simple, as they were pretty competitive upfront (and most competitive in the area). It was not difficult to put together a deal that all parties were happy with. Toyota/Lexus had already done its job creating a loyal customer - and Alex and Elmhurst Toyota have done the job of adding yet another loyal customer for life.

No Hassle Car Purchase Experience

Just bought a brand new 2015 Toyota Corolla S Plus from Elmhurst Toyota Scion. There was none of the old school techniques from the sales rep chasing us around at every turn. We took our time with this purchase (visited the dealer 3 times before purchasing) and wanted to make sure we were picking the right car for the coming years. Alex was very patient with us and allowed us to test drive all the cars we wanted before finally settling on the Corolla S Plus. He got us exactly what we wanted. Bait and switch

Melissa corresponded with us over email regarding two similar vehicles. When we came to the dealership both vehicles were unavailable, and despite being led to believe otherwise, it turns out one of the vehicles being discussed was never even in the dealer’s stock. She walked in to get an appraisal on the car we just test drove (a third vehicle, presumably the switch after the bait) and after waiting and waiting I go in to find her sitting at her desk in the office with another couple who were car shopping. We turned around and left and ended up going to Bredemann and buying our Toyota Highlander Limited that afternoon. Lies and poor behavior blew your sale. I won’t be back and I would recommend friends and family shop elsewhere.

We needed a new car for our recent family addition, and were just stopping in to the dealership to research some options. The dealership had a clean and friendly vibe. Additionally, the sales staff was helpful and not pushy at all. Received a quote from Neda but when I called to tell her I wanted to buy she informed me that the price went up to the tune of $1,900! I called Rob Smithburg, her manager, but he never returned my call. I messaged him along with Tony Gmitrovic and Vlad Rikhman, Director of Sales Operations and New Car Manager respectively, but have not heard back from any of them. This dealership does not come across as trustworthy or concerned about customer service. They lost a sure sale and a customer for life. Would NOT recommend doing business with them. There are plenty of other Toyota dealers in Chicago.

I highly recommend this dealership! As a first time buyer I was very wary of purchasing a new car and getting one for a good deal. I had excellent customer service the whole way through. They helped me find the right car in the right price range for me as a first time buyer. Vladimir especially was excellent! He was able to find me all of the options in terms of APR and what my monthly payments would be. I was able to find the perfect car for me and get it for the best rate as well. Vladimir Rikhman made my experience terrible. I was there with my husband and he told me to leave and he told my husband to come back without me, when i was just trying to negotiate with him. He was rude, unproffesional and he did not even told me his name. I was dealing with other sales person, but he came as a manager and did not even try to work with us. If i could i would give zero stars. Do not go there. Worst customer service!! You as a customer don't deserve to be offended.

Disappointing Experience

Had a great car buying experience here and my initial service visits were great. Last week, took my 2015 Highlander in for an oil change. Recently hit 30,000 miles so asked what needed to be done. Without even looking at the car, it was suggested having both front and rear differential fluids replaced and having a complete fuel injection system flush for $340. Stupidly, I agreed to both. Upon checking my manual at home, I learned that everything should have been inspected FIRST and the differential only needs to be addressed if doing a lot of towing, which we did not. And I also learned from KBB that the fuel injector maybe needs a flush at 60,000 miles, if ever. I felt totally taken advantage of so when I got my dealer survey, which said if you can't give 5 stars to let them know first, I reached out to them via email So I did. I got back a bunch of excuses including the owners manual is generic and Chicago has extreme driving conditions. I was hoping they would try to make some restitution but nope. That told me all I needed to know about the sales practices of the Elmhurst Toyota Service Department. Only time I'll ever head back there is when there is a recall or for work that is covered by extended warranty. Learned my lesson and I would tell others to BEWARE when being told you need extra service. Ask questions or get a second opinion. It was such a disappointment as I had every intention of servicing my car there permanently. Oh well....

Although I live 40 minutes from this dealership I had the pleasant opportunity to use their service department this past week..and they were excellent. My daughter was home from school where she is studying for her Phd in the medical field in St Louis and her Rav4 was scheduled for service when she was home. Now this is only maybe 15-20 days the entire year. Well the strike at my local dealership forced me to seek other assistance- for new brakes and a recall. I sent out emails to dealers and the only one who got back to me that day was Brian, the service manager from Elmhurst Toyota who said he understood the situation and could get the car done by the next day. I met Service writer Dave Hsu when I arrived he actually asked if I was the gentleman who emailed- and immediately went over what was needed. In the review of the rest of the car he also found that the battery failed - ( it was 5 years old - makes sense) -and likely saved my daughter from a dangerous situation not far down the line- as we replaced it. The car was ready on time the next morning - washed and ready to go. They also accepted a coupon from the other dealer... If I could rate my experience higher than a 5 I would. I have been buying cars and having them serviced for 45 years..I wish all the experiences were like this. Great job guys...

Can't recommend Pete

I have waited about a month before writing this review to try to be fair. I have bought several used cars and cannot recommend the salesman "Pete." He is very much a traditional pushy, dishonest used car salesman, so if that kind of experience appeals to you, then you would like him. I am actually fine with the process but would not buy from Pete again. My stepdaughter drove the 2007 Prius we bought, with low miles, just three days after purchasing it, into the city for a swim meet and when she emerged a couple hours later, it was dead as a door nail. I know quite a lot about Prii, including that if their batteries start acting up, they really must be replaced (12V, not hybrid battery), even if they are testing okay. They will keep acting up until replaced. Frankly, given that the car died three days after purchase (and nothing was left on, etc.), I did not expect the dealership to give me a hard time about replacing the battery, but it was really horrible. We spent the entire day there before managing to get them to replace the battery. Pete was not only NOT an advocate in any way, he actually discouraged the sales manager from replacing it until I had written a positive review! He tried to get me to split the cost of it first, which of course would have just been paying for it since they are not paying retail. The cost is about $350. You will endure a lot of pressure from Pete, will likely not get a fair deal, and then you will not be treated well if there are problems. Pete literally lied throughout the sale, which I know, such as telling me a hybrid battery would only cost $1,250 there if it needed to be replaced. That is an outrageous lie. The part alone is minimum double that amount. I asked him for something in writing from the service dept. and was informed they didn't have anything in writing but he had spoken with someone and the cost is actually $2,500. This was one of many typical used car salesman lies. It is not easy to find an older Prius with low miles or I would have just left during this process. I do not like to write negative reviews, which is why I waited to make sure I wasn't overly harsh, but it isn't going to get any better than this sadly.

Thanks for honest advice and fast fix

I went to Elmhurst Toyota after work because the hood of my 2007 Highlander would not open when I pulled the interior lever. I could see the cable had slipped off the plastic pull. I told Bob Fazzi about the problem and he said let me take a look. In less than 30 seconds, he connected the cable to the plastic and unlatched the hood. Bob next got a can of WD-40, like product, and lubricated the hood latch. He pulled the plastic lever a few more time and everything was fine. I was on my way in under 10 minutes! Thank you Bob!

Visit to the dealership for tire pressure light on

On August 12, 2019, I dropped off my vehicle, a 2019 Toyota Sienna, with Elmhurst Toyota Dealership.  On this newly-purchased Sienna, the tire pressure light on the dashboard was always on.  After carefully checking the tire pressure on all tires, it was clear that there was a malfunction with the sensor.  Elmhurst Toyota Dealership quoted a price of $135, to cover the cost of a computer diagnosis, to which I agreed.  Over the course of three days, with collaborating correspondence, the technicians working at the dealerships were unable to identify the problem.  Over the course of the three days, I received phone calls from the dealership with updates, each concluding that they needed more time to further troubleshoot the issue.  During this period, as I rely on my vehicle for my occupation, I missed my usual revenue and earnings.  On August 14, 2019, I returned to the Elmhurst Toyota Dealership to collect my car.  To my complete surprise, the service representative who had assisted me was supplanted by Daniel Briggs, the Parts & Service Director, who angrily presented me with an invoice for $1,800.  He was absolutely dismissive of my concerns about the enormous sum, and was resentful of my profession, exclaiming, "WHATEVER HE SAID ABOUT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE TAXIS," in a derogatory manner.  I explained that I only agreed to the diagnosis with the stated fee of $135, as is stated and recorded in the invoice.  Director Daniel Briggs lectured that Elmhurst Toyota Dealership had to be compensated for the uncalculated and unstated hours of labor, and that the diagnosis fee of $135 did not apply.  Because Elmhurst Toyota Dealership was unable to correctly run a diagnosis, their Director's decision was to charge me for the arbitrarily calculated labor that wasn't able to detect any issue.  Had it been conveyed to me at any point during the THREE?  FOUR? voice mails and phone conversations that I would be expected to pay for the hours of labor used to discover nothing, I would have removed the vehicle from their facility as soon as they informed me pricing had changed. Parts & Service Director Daniel Briggs disparagingly told me that if I want my vehicle back, I need to pay the invoice in full.  Perhaps feeling guilty for his abstract and randomly calculated hours of labor, he offered a 10% discount. The following day, August 15, 2019, I returned as I had no choice but to pay the invoice so that I could have my car back as it is essential to my career.  The bait-and-switch invoicing along with the condescending and patronizing attitude of Parts & Service Director Daniel Briggs was deeply dissatisfying.

Stan Hopper - The GO To PARTS Man

STAN the MAN. Every-time I call in for Stan he is always there to not only make the transaction smooth and easy but also makes you feel like a good personal friend. It really is great that you feel easily comfortable doing business when purchasing OEM parts here. Ever since I made my Toyota Supra purchase last year I felt he has been with me through the entire restoration process. Not only does he have great knowledge with these parts he always leaves the customer smiling when it comes to service. I'm from CT and will only do business with Elmhurst which says a lot.

Stan Hopper - Best Parts Guys Ever A+ Service

STAN HOPPER is the best parts professional I have come across in my many years of purchasing OEM parts. His level of service and attention to the customer's need is unmatched. I have been purchasing parts from Elmhurst prior to Stan taking over for Curt Aigner. Even when we first started doing business together, he treated me as if I was his only customer, and that has not changed since. Over the years Stan has become more of a friend than parts manager in my opinion, and have gotten to know him on more of a personal level. This is difficult for most Part Managers to obtain due to work load, time constraints, other priorities ect, but Stan seems to make it look easy. I hope everyone else enjoys the service they have received from Stan, Allen and Adam. These are the ONLY guys I trust to order or simply locate New and/or Rare Toyota Supra OEM parts. THANK YOU Stan and Elmhurst for truly making me feel like part of the family, even though I live out of state. You have a customer for life!

My "Go-To" Parts Guy - Stan Hopper!

I've been ordering Supra parts through Elmhurst Toyota for many years. I've always received fantastic customer service and support , especially from Stan Hopper. It's always a great pleasure to speak with Stan. He is extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable in all of our dealings. He always goes above and beyond to ensure he can get me the parts I need in a timely manner each time. I have 2 other Toyota dealers local to me, but I will continue to contact Stan Hopper for all of my future Toyota parts needs. Thanks for all your help Stan!

Excellent Service and Parts Support!

I have been using Elmhurst Toyota for a few years now to support my ageing 2JZ engine and transmission. I cannot say enough about how helpful the parts department (Stan Hopper) have been to me! I receive excellent support from them whether I have part numbers for them or send them on a mission to find a hard to find part. Every time they come through for me and are great to deal with. I would recommend their services to anyone!

Dealer Did not live up to promise

This dealer did not live up to its promise to provide the best buying experience. I purchased a 2013 Acura in July from this dealer. They only provided 1 key fob/remote. This may not seem like a big deal to some but this key fob opens the door and also starts the vehicle. It also needs to be programmed specifically for the vehicle. Dealers have this expertise and exchange these services. This is a huge inconvience for a customer to deal with and the retail cost is over $300. I have been told by other dealers and locksmiths that reputable dealers provide 2nd keys when they sell their vehicles or make arrangements to do this for the buyer and cover the cost. My 1 mistake in this purchase was I trusted this dealer, Elmhurst Toyota, based on their good reputation and promise to provide the best possible buying experience. I called my salesperson who agreed to help me but after several follow up calls and emails did not respond to me. I tried calling and emaling the sales manager and he did not respond to me. I have never purchased a vehicle, before this purchase, where only 1 key was provided. Does this sound like the best possible buying experience or an empty promise? I would much rather have them provide this service, but since it was not, I want other potential buyers to be aware of this before this happens to them. I was forced to secure a key at my own expense and it was neither reasonable or easy to do as it took several hours of my time to find the proper key and a locksmith that could do the programming.

Most positive car-buying and overall dealership experience

Husband and I purchased a new Avalon Hybrid Touring three days ago. I don't write many reviews, but I feel it's important to review Elmhurst Toyota for others out there in the market for a new or ore-owned Toyota. The experience was surprisingly positive. Probably the best we've ever had, and we think it's worth saying so. Competent, knowledgeable staff , very friendly, warm atmosphere and never once any high pressure tactics to rush us into a decision before we were ready. Sales staff and finance manager were warm, friendly and there to help the customer with a purchase, not forward his or her agenda.

This place is full of scam artists, liars, and full of unbelieveable price gouging. Tony the sales manager Dan the parts director and Brian the service manager literally will price gouge recommend unnecessary work and lie to your face about services or prices. Let me start by saying this store has no general manager although tony misrepresents himself online as the owner and likes to tell people he is the owner he is in fact not the owner... there is no general manager according to them the owner is the general manager and he doesn't get involved in the business... but aren't you the owner tony...what a convenient lie and shady business practice. And if you reach out to Toyota they recommends you talk to the general manager owner, or the customer relations manager... thiers no general manager or customer relations manager and tony is not the owner although he continues to misrepresent himself as the owner... they have refused to service my car under warranty because I told dan I wouldn't be price gouged and when I called him out for inflating price and phony services he has refused to do work on my car or even sell me parts or tires even though I had an appointment for a warranty service they are beyond inconsiderate and have discriminatory business practices they charge people different prices and use labor phony labor cost to increase prices. 140 dollars to change a tail light they tried to rip me off to do work that requires a screwdriver and takes 5 minutes The sales man mario used high pressure tactics trying to keep you there long and also the guy literally was like what do I have to do to make you walk out of here with it today, this financing offer may not last and this is a limited time buy I can get you well off mark up they used every tactic in the book he could muster I though I got a good price but the next day I went to their Toyota Elmhurst. Com and it was 1200 less than what I paid. in fact they care nothing about you as a person and are only concerned with making a sale they didn't care about my budget or if I could afford it they didnt ask what I did or how much i earned they did anything just to make a sale. why do I say this. Because i was unemployed doing uber for two weeks I literally gave them no proof of income no pay stubs and filled out no paperwork for a loan the fiance guy literally made stuff up to be honest I didn't fill out anything I just signed on the line. I could only imagine the lies David told Toyota fiance I even told him I have a stress migraine even gave me aspirin. They didn't care had to make a sale. In all reality that was a high risk loan for me that left me stress sick for weeks I truly intended to just look at a car not take out a 25000 plus loan. What david put told them for proof of income or fiance information I could only imagine the lies. Just wanted to get me outta there with a loan. He did several things wrong which I was not aware of until months later ie maintenance plan was supposeded to included in my haggling I thought... Anyway my issue began with discovering that first bought a RIP off maintenance plan and that the 5 free services were just a scam to keep you coming in Tony even tells people you'll pay more for a maintenance plan which is a lie he just wants to keep you coming in so they can inflate prices. I had a taillight assembly leak water they said it would cost 480 to replace 280 for the part and 140 labor to replace it. Total scam to do this job requires a screwdriver and takes three minutes is the same as changing a taillight bulb and the part Is priced differently on thier website even if they order it they won't give you an honest price it was marked up 4 times their cost. They have ripped me off on several services and lied to my face about pricing and repair cost. Dan and Brian are liars I called another dealership told me how to do the repair myself said I wouldn't feel right charging you for that repair do you have a screwdriver oh and try silicone don't replace the part??!! Who is the owner? Tony Dan and Brian are liars

Fast, easy, helpful!

We needed a new car for our recent family addition, and were just stopping in to the dealership to research some options. The dealership had a clean and friendly vibe. Additionally, the sales staff was helpful and not pushy at all. We had our new baby with us, so we did not have much time, but KP was such an approachable and kind sales rep that we ended up moving forward with him in our car buying process. He made the entire process fast and easy for us. I would definitely recommend KP and this dealership and will be going back for our next purchase.

Not A Pleasant Experience

We were shopping for a car on Saturday August 23rd. My husband and his family had 3 Toyota's from Elmhurst Toyota, but this time we were very disappointed in their customer service and also they way they treated us. They did not want to sell a car and they lost because we ended up buying a better and more expensive car from another dealer , and unfortunate for them they had the car that we were looking for, but because of their poor customer service they lost a customer and possibly many more for the future. We are in our mid twenties and maybe that is why we were overlooked as a customer but that does not matter. What happened is that we went there and were looking for car, we were not approached by a sales representative for more than 45 min, finally we were approached by Mr. Kelvin Zhang , we told him what we want to see and he went on looking for the car keys for another 20 min. mean while no one even asked us if we need any help. After he found the keys , we went on a test drive and we liked the car. Well we sat down to talk about the price and he became very unpleasant and raised his voice on us when we said that we do not agree with what he was saying, then he went and got the manager , which also was very unpleasant we asked if he can do anything because the car had 65mi on it and it was advertised as 10mi car. He explained that it was from another dealer and we said fine but we wanted to talk about the price and he basically said this is what it is and just got up and left , basically telling us to get out if we do not accept his price. Well I'm sorry Elmhurst Toyota but you lost a very loyal Toyota Family. My husband and my family all drive and have been driving Toyota's but we will not be coming to your dealership. We bought a car not the color that we wanted and even more expensive than what you were offering and we are extremely happy with our purchase, the difference was that the sales representative and manager wanted to sell a car and knew how to sell a car ,unlike your dealership! We were expecting a little better customer service !!! And we got it somewhere else!

If you are looking for transparency or an honest company with normal policies, don’t go here. :::car buying experience with Elmhurst Toyota::: Us: Hmm we really like this one model given the features but prefer the look of this other model Sales: No problem! Just buy the part and have it added to the one you like! Us: Great, let’s do it! ::::spends a ton of money on a new car and after market product; signs nothing warning us of anything::: Us: Excuse me, this product isn’t working to our satisfaction and is actually a safety hazard while driving. Can you help us? Service: Oh no that’s the way that product was designed, and we get a number of similar complaints on it. It’s working the way it was intended. Sorry. Us: Corporate, can you help us? Corporate: Sorry, Toyota recommends against adding after-market products and our dealers can do whatever they want with absolutely no ramifications. :::Attempt to get a call back from Elmhurst Toyota to get some sort of fair resolution::: Services/Sales: :::Silence::: :::Out of $700::: This is real life business with Elmhurst Toyota and Toyota Corporate. I promise you if they told us 1) it wasn’t recommended, and/or 2) if we didn’t like it they would do nothing, WE WOULD HAVE PASSED. Shame on us for thinking Toyota and Elmhurst Toyota would be like any other reputable business entity that works with their customers (who just spent a ton of money and asking for a percent back) to come to a fair resolution. Never Again

This is my first review of a business online. Ever. So imagine how unhappy I am with these guys. Their service department lives down to the worst stereotypes of dealership service depts: Phantom charges on the invoice. Non-adherence to a written estimate. Bad customer service. And on and on. The icing on the cake...the reason that I'll NEVER go back there: When I went to the Sales Manager to complain, he just sat looking at me with a condescending grin on his face, and said "Why are you so stressed, don't worry about this, I'll take care of it". Of course, he took care of NOTHING. I bought my car there and have spent a lot of money there for service on both my cars, but I will NEVER step foot in the place again. They clearly don't appreciate their customers.

This dealership is amongst the best here in the Midwest.

Elmhurst Toyota is amongst the best here in the Midwest. From sales, to management, to service, you will be treated with the upmost respect. Our salesman Sergei is very polite and patient, he took his time as he new My wife and I had some bad dealings with another dealer. Sergei ended up selling us a new Highlander today, At delivery, our salesman Sergei even took us through service and they set up our first service for us. Amazing Customer Service!

I highly recommend this dealership! As a first time buyer I was very wary of purchasing a new car and getting one for a good deal. I had excellent customer service the whole way through. They helped me find the right car in the right price range for me as a first time buyer. Vladimir especially was excellent! He was able to find me all of the options in terms of APR and what my monthly payments would be. I was able to find the perfect car for me and get it for the best rate as well. I had support every step of the way and they contacted me as soon as they keys to my car were available. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to everyone!
