2021 Toyota Venza Debuts

Toyota recently debuted the all-new 2021 Toyota Venza. This midsize two-row crossover is ready to do battle with competitors, armed with standout features that the automaker claims will break the sameness barrier in this popular class. Drivers will appreciate the Venza’s smooth ride, enjoyable handling, quiet cabin and attractive exterior styling. The Venza is set to arrive at McGrath Elmhurst Toyota in early September.

The all-new 2021 Toyota Venza comes in three trim levels: LE, XLE and Limited. It slots between the compact RAV4 and the midsize Highlander SUV. The Venza is based on the Harrier SUV sold by Toyota abroad. While the Harrier is offered in both hybrid and conventional powertrains, the 2021 Venza is powered by a hybrid system that combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and three electric motors that together generate 219 horsepower. The Venza features Toyota’s advanced Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive.

Fuel-efficiency is exceptional. Toyota estimates the Venza will return fuel economy ratings of 39 mpg in combined city/highway driving.

The Venza sits atop a version of the Toyota New Global Architecture K platform, which is currently used in some of the automaker’s current crossovers and sedans. Buyers will get the comfort associated with sedans, combined with the utility of a crossover.

Inside, the 2021 Toyota Venza provides plenty of room for five passengers. There’s a long list of standard and available technology features, including a digital rear-view mirror, a 10-inch color head-up display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch multi-information display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa compatibility and a nine-speaker JBL audio system. Options include heated and ventilated front seats and a panoramic glass roof.

The 2021 Venza comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense, a suite of active safety features that includes automatic high beams, radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist and road sign recognition. Also included is a pre-collision system that features vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle detection.
