Celebrate the Season at Family Holiday Party – Elmhurst Toyota

December 13th, 2021 by

If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, head out to the Elmhurst Art Museum on Saturday, Dec. 18, for the Family Holiday Party. Bring the kids, because this holiday celebration is suitable for the entire family. You’ll enjoy the holiday display in the museum’s celebrated McCormick House. Participants can play a few rounds at the art-inspired miniature golf course and take part in the different art activities. Of course, there will be cookies and hot cocoa. No holiday party would be complete without a visit from Santa, who will be making a special appearance at 2 p.m. At Elmhurst Toyota, we appreciate the efforts of the Elmhurst Art Museum. We know this will be a memorable holiday event, so pack the kids up and visit the museum on Dec. 18.

Family Holiday PartyEveryone who attends the Family Holiday party can try their hand at Par Excellence Redux: The Back 9. This playable miniature golf course was created by local artists for the museum. The exhibit was presented in two parts. The first part, called The Front 9, opened in the Spring. The Back 9 is the current exhibit. Each hole of the nine-hole course was built by an artist and features a different theme.

The McCormick House will host a special holiday display during the Family Holiday Party. Designed in 1952 by architect Mies van der Rohe, this historic single-family house is home to many exhibits and art installations throughout the year. McCormick House is one of three private homes in the country built by Mies, regarded as one of the best 20th-century architects.
