Corolla Apex Edition and Nightshade Edition Keep the Fun Going – Elmhurst Toyota Dealer

The Toyota Corolla has been a popular model for years here at Elmhurst Toyota. The automaker has sold more than 50 million Corollas since it was introduced in 1966. Buyers can choose from one of the standard Corolla models or purchase the performance-oriented Apex Edition or the bold Nightshade Edition. Whichever Corolla you prefer, you can be sure it’s ready for adventure. There are even Hatchback and Hybrid models.

Toyota Corolla familyThe 2022 Corolla Apex Edition is ideal for drivers looking for the ultimate performance. It’s built on the SE and XSE trim levels and comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. The Apex Edition includes an exclusive performance-tuned suspension, a sport-tuned exhaust, and a unique body kit and wheels.

Toyota engineers developed the Corolla Apex Edition’s incredible driving characteristics through a meticulous series of tests performed on different tracks across the globe, including the MotorSport Ranch in Texas, the Toyota Arizona Proving Ground, and the TMC Higashi-Fuji Proving Ground in Japan.

The Corolla Nightshade Edition also returns for the 2022 model year. Based on the Toyota Corolla SE trim level, it comes with blacked-out trim and black 18-inch wheels. Buyers can choose from three exterior paint colors: Black Sand Pearl, Classic Silver Metallic and White. The Nightshade Edition’s blackout appearance extends to the front valence, lower rocker panels, door handles, shark fin antenna, mirror caps, headlight inner frames and rear roof spoiler. Inside, the driver and passengers are treated to Black Fabric premium seating. The Corolla Nightshade Edition gets the same engine as the Apex Edition. Buyers can choose the standard continuously variable transmission (CVT) or a six-speed manual.

Like all Corolla models, the Apex Edition and Nightshade Edition come with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of safety systems. It includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, road sign recognition and adaptive cruise control.
