Enjoy Music From the Movies and More

The Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra opens its 2021-22 season with Music From the Movies and More on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. This exhilarating concert, which begins ESO’s 60th year of incredible orchestral performances, will showcase music from several beloved films and musicals. At McGrath Elmhurst Toyota, we’re grateful the ESO has provided music to our community for six decades. We hope you get a chance to enjoy what will prove to be an exciting concert.

During Music From the Movies and More, Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop will lead the ESO through a series of selections from “Star Wars Suite for Orchestra” by John Williams, “West Side Story” by Leonard Bernstein, “My Fair Lady” by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, “Phantom of the Opera” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and “La La Land” by Justin Hurwitz. The orchestra will also play musical favorites like “Variations on I Got Rhythm” by George Gershwin and “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa.

Music From the Movies and More is funded by a generous donation from Ray and Sally Allen.

Admission:
Tickets are $35 for adults, $32 for seniors and $12 for students. Family, group and subscription discounts are also available. You can purchase tickets through Sept. 16 at www.elmhurstsymphony.org or by calling 630-941-0202. Pick up online ticket orders at the will-call desk. ESO will not sell tickets at the door.

For safety reasons, all audience members must wear masks, regardless of their age or vaccination status. Attendees must also sign a Release of Liability relating to COVID-19 on the day of the concert. The Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church offers accessible parking and facilities. Parking is free.
