Savor Taste of the Town: Food for Life – Elmhurst Toyota
If you love good food and drink (and who doesn’t), you’ll be delighted with the treats you’ll find on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the 2nd annual Taste of the Town: Food for Life. The event, which features the best food and drink in the Elmhurst area, is presented by the United Community Concerns Association (UCCA) at Wilder Mansion. This year’s event promises to be even better than last year, so we at Elmhurst Toyota urge you to attend. There’s still time to get advance tickets.
Supplying the food, wine and beer are approximately 20 local eateries and pubs. Additionally, you can watch top local chefs as they provide some interesting and helpful cooking demonstrations. Adding to the ambiance is live music, courtesy of the Clay Corso Trio.
While you savor the area’s best food and beverages at Taste of the Town: Food for Life, you’ll also help a worthy cause. Profits from the event benefit UCCA, a volunteer nonprofit organization. UCCA distributes food and services to children and families in need in the Elmhurst Community School District. In 2017, the group provided more than $76,000 in food and food gift certificates to about 90 seniors and a total of nearly 300 families.
Restaurants and pubs participating this year include Elijah’s Specialty Coffee & Tea, Fitz’s Pub, Kilwins, Lezza Spumoni & Dessert, Nu Crepes, One Fifty One Kitchen I Bar, Roberto’s Ristorante, The Silverado Grill and more. It’s going to be a truly fun evening, so get your tickets now and enjoy all the wonderful food from our local establishments.
