Stream Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra’s Baroque Brilliance

If you love classical music, you’ve likely been waiting for the return of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra. The Symphony’s next virtual music program, Baroque Brilliance, will arrive soon. The performance can be streamed starting Sunday, February 14. The Baroque Brilliance program is performed under the capable leadership of Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director and Conductor, Stephen Alltop. The performance will delve into classical music’s Baroque period and includes Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Pachelbel’s Canon, which features strong performances by the Symphony’s string section. Musical selections by Caldara and Rameau highlight the oboes, trumpets and timpani.

Violinist Jasmine Lin is a guest artist for the concert. She joins soloists Rika Seko and Kathleen Carter in Telemann’s delightful Concerto for Three Violins. Enlightening commentary by Lin, harpsichordist David Schrader and Alltop will add even more enjoyment to your experience.
